Barbara Thorson struggles through life by escaping into a fantasy life of magic and monsters.

Rating: 3.5 stars


Everyone thinks that Barbara is the weird kid who always in her own world. She escapes the reality of life by playing board games and spends most of her time hunting Giants.

The shots were mainly gloomy and dimly lit, showcasing Barbara’s mental and physical state throughout the entire movie as she battles against the mysterious Giants and her own inner demons. The music was definitely very thrilling and helped to bring out the fear of the unknown and the Giants that loom in the darkest corners.
